“The backup camera randomly works and randomly does not work. It seems that this would be a safety hazard. We have had it in the shop several times since we purchased the car in december and keep getting the run around as to the problem. Last time they replaced the camera and said it was now working. Worked great for 2 days and now back to not working .”
NHTSA complaint #11415261, filed 2021-05, 5,500 miles“Vehicle has a known condition with many same year make and model that could cause the engine coolant thermostat to open at a lower temperature than intended. This condition has occurred. As a result the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (Check Engine Light) illuminates and a diagnostic trouble code is set and “steering assistance reduced” appear. The engine cooling fans also run after the engine is switched off. A recent bulletin has been posted to the 2021 Cadillac XT6 but is present in our 2020 as well. Upon calling the dealer our VIN was not on said recall/bulletin.”
