“Ever since I bought this vehicle I have had nothing but trouble with it. Since I have bought it in july it has been in the shop for approx. 10 times. The first day I brought it home it would not go into reverse. Needless to say it already has a new transmission. I have also had problems with the rear middle seat belt locking up and making it impossible to wear. I have brougt this problem up to the dealer several times and they have even replaced all of the seat belts, but it still persists. …”

NHTSA complaint #761612, filed 2002-05

“The contact owns a 2002 Chevrolet Blazer ls. The contact stated that the seat belt was partially pulled out and would not retract. The dealer was notified and stated that the seat belts were not covered under warranty. The engine size was unknown. The current mileage is 71,000 and failure mileage was 70,900.”

NHTSA complaint #10192026, filed 2007-05, 70,900 miles

“The contact owns a 2002 Chevrolet Blazer. The contact was driving approximately 35 MPH, and crashed into an unoccupied parked vehicle. The air bags would not deploy with the level of impact in the crash. While the front driver side shoulder seat belt was being worn, it failed to function and caused the contact to move in a forward position as a result her face struck the steering wheel. The contact sustained a broken nose, bruises on both arms and shoulder area. The ambulance, fire and police department were called to the scene. A police report was filed of the incident. …”

NHTSA complaint #10347200, filed 2010-08, 130,000 miles

“Front passenger's side seatbelt system locks up as if an automatic locking restraint. Owner's manual state's that this belt is used for a child restraint. No other seatbelts in this vehicle locks up like the front seatbelt does. Also, there is an airbag present in the front passenger's side.”

NHTSA complaint #893486, filed 2001-08

“Passenger seat belt locks into place with little or no passenger movement, cannot be released without removing seatbelt completely and retracting completely. Also own a 2002 oldsmobile bravada same problem on passenger side restraint. Passenger must remove seat belt every few minutes just to breathe or tuck shoulder strap behind them. This is a serious flaw on the passenger side seat belt on all 2002 bravada's, trailblazers and envoys. Dealer has no fix at this time except to try a seat belt extender to change passenger side angle on restraint belt to see if it helps. …”
