1995: “The windshield wipers on my 95 C1500 works randomly at best. The pump for the fluid also only works some of the time. Some times I'll turn of the wipers and it will take up to a minute for them to start working, other times they work fine and then still other times they don't work at all. Fluid haven't come out of the pump for the last 4 months at all.”

NHTSA complaint #10448916, filed 2012-02, 186,320 miles

1994: “I purchase this vehicle new. Automatic transmission quit shifting into 3-4 on 3-20-05. Transmission required rebuild. Upon disassembly I discovered the 3-4 accumulator pump spring was not installed in the transmission so the 3-4 gears have been running over volume and pressure from day one leading to eventual failure. New part will be purchased and installed.”

NHTSA complaint #10114822, filed 2005-03, 180,850 miles

1996: “Clear coat on the paint came off of the finish several years back and I wanted to know if there was any recall on that issue. I take serious pride in my vehicle and if general motors assumes pride in their product as they advertise them to be then they won't mind amending the problem. I have never been made aware of any recall on this problem so any information you can supply to me would be greatly appreciated.”
