“Trouble with car from day 1. Had it checked and there is no catalytic converter on car! Also there was no odometer reading recorded on any paper work at time of purchase. I have not been driving the car because it is illegal with no catalytic converter. I have a lien against the car and not sure if I should pay if this is an illegal car. I have copies of odometer disclosure statement and title with no odometer reading. Copy of certification of pollution control devices or systems has nothing checked to ensure that it is legal. Can you please help before they re-posess this vehicle?”

NHTSA complaint #715510, filed 1999-12

“Engine oil leak that dealers can not repair, spent approximately $700, engine still leaks oil on driveway after 1 year of dealership attempted repairs, intake gasket replacement 3 times, rear engine oil seal replacement 3 times, oil filter o ring replacement, oil level sensor replacement, oil pan tighened, oil pressure sending unit replacement.”
