Example complaints

One per model year, chosen for length and detail. Personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

2003: “Cluster of dashboard indicators (speedometer, gas guage , engine temp, RPM) all are not working now. They were going off and on at times when driving but now nothing works...my mechanic informs me this is a common problem with this make and model. No recall found. Very dangerous to drive why wasn't this common problem listed as a recall when many have complained??”

NHTSA complaint #11065548, filed 2018-01, 198,000 miles

1998: “The starter went out the first week I got it did tires start rubbing the sucks went out making it hard to drive and a second time start rubbing I end up buying three times cuz they got ball real fast the wiring under the engine ripped apart and now it's threw a rod.”

NHTSA complaint #11327511, filed 2020-06, 150,000 miles

2004: “Every time I go to my job my power steering reservoir becomes empty after I put one or more quarts in the reservoir. Anytime I drive at highway speeds I sway back and forth no matter how much control I have over the vehicle. My steering gets so hard to the point where I almost crash every time I drive my car anywhere because I have no power steering or don't have a lot of control over the steering because it becomes so tight.”
