2017 Chevrolet Cheverolet SS Seat belts Problems

“The airbag warning light activated and two separate service facilities confirmed the problem was with the seatbelt tensioner cable. This could put the driver at risk of serious injury in a collision as the seatbelt may not properly restrain the driver. This car has a recall for model years 2014-2016 for this exact issue, yet GM tells me that there is no recall on my 2017 vehicle with the same exact problem and that I must pay over $1100 to fix the issue. This is a very low volume vehicle. I have the same problem the recall was issued for. How can this not be covered by the recall?”

The seat belt warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle lost motive power and was not driving properly. The contact stated that on another occasion, the vehicle was taken to a dealer to be repaired under recall; however, the vehicle sat for 24 hours unrepaired.
