“About 1 yr. And 1 month after I bought a chevy Colorado, the thing shut off on me. The first time it left me on the side of I-55 and did not want to start. It did though, but the engine light was on, it soon went off. The dealer reprogrammed the computer. It has shut off on me 4 more times. The dealer will not fix the truck b/c it is not storing codes . Also, the traction control on the truck seems to engadge itself at the oddest of times when there is really no tire slippage and this has me sputtering and jumping while I'm trying to drive in traffic. …”
NHTSA complaint #10145232, filed 2005-12, 25,000 miles“Dt: the caller said the back seat headrest was too tall and covered the back window, and he could not see out to back up. Dealer wanted to sell him another vehicle that was more expensive. The manufacturer said to lay the seat down to back out. The rear seat head rest obstructed the vision of the consumer while he was looking out of the rear window.”
NHTSA complaint #10136554, filed 2005-10, 152 miles“Lumbar support knob has broken three times and replaced by the dealer. However, when the knob breaks, sharp pieces are created and have sharp edges. The part is not readily available and will be unprotected until part is replaced. I have been scratched several times while exiting the vehicle. At least one time, deep enough to draw some blood.”
NHTSA complaint #10132966, filed 2005-08“The consumer noticed that the rear seat head rests were too tall and blocked his vision while backing up his driveway. The headrest are not adjustable because they are built in as a part of the seat. The manufacturer was contacted but the consumer felt that they didn't provide a reasonable solution to the problem.”
