“This is regarding a recall issued by Chevrolet - 91c25 and 91c26 - for the failure of the seat belt/retractor mechanism. The recall was issued in 1991, and I have been trying to get my car fixed since the date of failure which was in 92 or 93. The recall is in your archives as NHTSA campaign 91v143000. Each time I try to have this corrected by a Chevrolet dealer, I am told they will have to order the parts and will contact me when they arrive, then I never hear from them again. Upon the most recent occurance of this cycle, I called Chevrolet customer assistance. …”

As a result the consumer was unable to pull the seatbelt out and use it while driving. The consumer had the seat belt replaced and then the recall came out.”
