Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“The lap-shoulder belt will not remain in the seat belt guide as it should. Therefor the seat belt does not fit over the shoulder and across the chest of smaller adults or older children as required to keep them safe in the event of a collision. The seat belt comes out of the guide when moving and at times when stationary. The gap in the guide is too large. This problem appears to be so prevalent that an after market clip is on the market to hold the seat belt into place.”
