“I have just learned that my car uses the same bose amplifiers that the 1991 q45 and 1991 acura legend have. They have both been recalled due to fire hazard identified by a popping or hissing noise, both of which occurred on 2 of my 4 amps so far. If these amps are manufactured by the same company, shouldn't the Corvette amps be recalled also ?”
NHTSA complaint #743175, filed 2001-03“Bose speakers overheat and fill passenger compartment with smoke. These amplifiers are identical to the accura amplifiers which were recalled by the manufacturer.”
