“2008 c6 Corvette with very low miles operates on keyless entry configuration. Today the doors unlocked and got into vehicle the normal way. The keyless start would not work, the doors would not unlock and open and it was over 125 degrees in the car. Kept trying until car started. Did not panic cause I new there is a way out . Can you imagine if I let somebody else drive and they don't know what to do? Gm should fix this problem cause after looking it up on the web it look like this has been happening for a long time! …”
NHTSA complaint #10272473, filed 2009-05, 9,000 miles“The contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Corvette. The vehicle failed to start. The contact attempted to exit the vehicle, but the electronic keyless entry would not work. The contact and passengers were locked inside of the vehicle. He attempted to activate the onstar feature, but it also would not work. Several dealers were notified, but none could provide assistance with exiting the vehicle. The contact and passengers were locked in the vehicle for 15 minutes. The failure and current mileages were less than 1,200. Updated 1/6/09 updated 01/14/09.”
