Example complaints

Electrical system: “Shifting luggage during a left turn caused the remote front trunk saftey switch inside the trunk to be depressed and open the front trunk, this was at low speed in my neighborhood, no damage or issues occurred, however if this had happened at higher speeds, the front trunk lid could have caused loss of visibility if the lid had completely opened.”

NHTSA complaint #11446203, filed 2022-01

Transmission and drivetrain: “Took the car in for inspection after noticing a greasy substance on the bottom panels when changing the oil. I was informed by the dealer that a cracked transmission housing up top was spraying the oil out and it was dripping down, the car is 7 month old and the transmission case cracked because of porous metal castings I was told which is a known issue already by GM.”

NHTSA complaint #11484136, filed 2022-09

Other or unknown: “Battery drain causing none start, codes, having to disconnect negative wire on the battery terminal to reset.car is currently on 21000 miles recently purchased vehicle July 2, 2025. It’s been in the shop multiple times for a month and a half still having the same electrical issues.”

NHTSA complaint #11684137, filed 2025-08

Brakes: “I ran an update on my c8 corvette, left the car till it was completed. The next day I left with the car and went through the stop sign and through 2 lanes of traffic and almost down a ditch. I live in a country setting. I almost had a very serious accident. I had no brakes. The dash said service brake assist, service ASC and brake failure. Although my car only has 758 miles it has run with no issues since I took delivery of it in September 2021. This happened because of that update. …”
