“Stability of driving is off, idling is hard and slips gears with lack of power and electrical is glitchy. Started when I would drive up hill and dealership called it intermediate problem nothing done. Now its all happening daily. Shift is into the red on RPM lack of power and my head lights flicker and randomly trunk opens.”
NHTSA complaint #11310093, filed 2020-02, 7,500 miles“The driver information center, speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, temp gauge, and touchscreen display quit working this morning on our '16 Cruze. Car starts and runs fine but know way of knowing our speed or what gear it's in. Persists through battery disconnect.”
NHTSA complaint #11252095, filed 2019-08, 61,000 miles“My door ajar alarm goes off not stop when car is in motion after 3 mins the locks try to unlock and lock going down the road and the dome lights flash on and off. My alarm system goes off every 10 to 20 min in the middle of the night or day so you cant set your alarms and all order for the part are on back order. The door sensor triggers the most when making a hard right turn. Moving parked or sitting I drive the sensor still alarms out”
NHTSA complaint #11133197, filed 2018-10, 55,000 miles“I will start with this has happened twice. I no longer feel safe in my car, but the mechanic cannot figure out what is wrong. My car got stuck at 3,000 rpms while driving in traffic. When I put my foot on the break the car would not come to a stop it kept bucking bucking forward with the engine roaring. I tried putting the car in neutral and that didn't do anything. I finally put the car in park and the car finally stopped moving, but was still revving at 3,000 rpms. I finally had to turn the car off. …”
NHTSA complaint #11114050, filed 2018-07, 23,000 miles“When leaving a grocery store, roughly 2 miles, my husband said the gas peddle clicked. Moments later, the car started shifting weird. Would not get past first gear. Second gear made the car super shaky and then it shut off. When restarting, car would drive normal for a minute then act up again. We would put it in neural and coast it with no problems until it died again. When we got home about 30 minutes later, I pulled the code and it was pulling o2 bank 1 sensor 2. Car is at the dealership now. Waiting for a call on the diagnosis.”
