2025: “There is a glare in the windshield from the dash. During the day when the sun hits it I have a hard time seeing pedestrians, bicyclists and small animals. Any smaller (less than an average car) sized things are distorted and hard to see. I’ve tried using the visor and it doesn’t help. I’m worried it may cause me to injure somebody or some thing.”
NHTSA complaint #11654652, filed 2025-042024: “My Chevrolet Equinox EV 2RS has glare on the front windshield due to design grille on the area below front windshield. So there is extreme glare depending on the direction of sunlight hitting that area. So I strongly feel this is a security issue for all drivers on the road and GM should alleviate this with a solution. Please advise.”
NHTSA complaint #11636329, filed 2025-012026: “I was driving and slowed down to enter a small roundabout. upon trying to enter the roundabout the cars emergency braking slammed on the brakes to a sudden hard stop. No other cars were in the roundabout, but i believe it may have seen the curb. in any case, i was extremely lucky that nobody was behind me, or coming around the roundabout, as it took a bit to get the car to let me go again.”
