“Intermittent canceling of turn signal, does not work all the time. Youtube shows GM did not use strong enough spring in switch. I am hard of hearing, cannot hear the click click click of flasher. Drivers behind me confused as to my intentions. Injury possible by drivers expecting me to turn. They want a lot of money to fix their mistake!!!”
NHTSA complaint #10703824, filed 2015-04, 93,222 miles“While operating, my vehicles power steering shuts off and my power steering alert appears on the dash. If the car is shut off, and turned back on it works properly; and then shuts off again randomly. This happens nearly every time I drive it, sometimes several times. There is nothing consistent with driving conditions, speed, duration of driving when it occurs.”
NHTSA complaint #10553616, filed 2013-11, 100,000 miles“Was driving at highway speed and all of a sudden my car got hard to steer and a chime dinged and my screen on the dash read (power steering) was coming up on a turn and it took me and the passenger to manually turn the wheel with great effort on both our parts, this was scary! If I had been alone I'm not sure if I could have negotiated the turn thus ending in a one vehicle collision.”
NHTSA complaint #10559084, filed 2014-01, 61,189 miles“The power steering is suddenly inoperative. No power steering. It just came on the warning lights one time, power steering, and I can't find a fix. The vehicle was parked in my driveway when it happened.”
NHTSA complaint #11222011, filed 2019-06, 123,300 miles“I start my car and go to pull out onto the road and there was no power steering which could have caused me to wreck. The power steering light came on. I pulled over and shut the car off and restarted the car. Same problem. Very very dangerous!!! ..updated 10/15/14 updated 4/7/2015”
