NHTSA complaint #10055796, filed 2004-01

“Pre mature wear all 4 brakes, rt front caliper pin falls out, causing caliper to jam in wheel, caliper pin caused wear in housing, causing treads to strip and become weak, happened 2 times, also rear brake calipers failed brakes are always hard nothing helps, wiring problem in steering column flashers will cause smoke in column signals you have to fiddle with for them to work.”

NHTSA complaint #723726, filed 2000-06

“Consumer noticed corrosion and rust on the fuel line/brake line, and suspension components, in both front and rear. If parts rust all the way through, it could eventually lead to loss of control. Also, both rear caliper slide pins seized, causing premature brake pad wear. Both rear calipers and all brake pads had to be replaced.”

NHTSA complaint #853256, filed 1999-11

“Consumer applied brakes at 10-20 MPH, pedal went to the floor, no braking action. Mechanic stated brake master cylinder was too close to exhaust manifold. This caused brake fluid in brake line to get hot, causing brake failure. The vehicle over heated because of fluid loss.”
