“Steering wheel locks without warning. I've replaced power steering 2 years ago and vehicle continues to lock while driving making it difficult to control vehicle.”
NHTSA complaint #11398492, filed 2021-03, 140,000 miles“Bought this car from a nissan dealer as a used car in june 2012, it is the lt ve model. The problem is: while turning left with acceleration the steering wheel jerks right, at times it can be jerked out of the hands (depends on acceleration speed), also a clunking noise from left front wheel at times (with or without engine running). Sometimes while driving at 55 MPH or better, taking a left handed curve, steering will become stiff and hard to turn. This has not caused any accidents yet but it could in the future resulting in serious injuries or death.”
