“The vehicle was in motion, city street, turning. The steering wheel wpuld turn the opposite way that I had to turn. The steering wheel would also lock in the opposite direction which almost caused me to crash into the wall. When I pulled off to the side tge steering wheel would shake and turn by itself. I just discovered that there is 9 recall notices from 06/27/2014 to 02/23/2015. The dealership has not owned up to these recalls. …”

The wheel begins to take over for its self, so to speak. The wheel will shake some times aggressively enough to be pulling me whichever way it pleases. It even does this at an idle,the VIN is pulling up no recall but the articles on this subject say it is included in the expansion of the recall. I just bought the vehicle sept 24, 2016”

Then it started up after a few minutes like there was never a problem. There are no fault codes, no warnings, nothing to suggest anti-theft. What is causing this???!!! This has happened to me and my daughter dozens of times in the last 5 years. I've searched online and there are way too many unhappy people with same exact problem! Has there been a recall yet on this obvious defect? …”
NHTSA complaint #10542401, filed 2013-09, 153,890 miles“2007 chevy Malibu electrical hell my car was completely fine aside from the power steering recall that was fixed on it. Then about 4 months later my car cranks but doesn't start! I was driving it 20 mins prior and then this happens. The radio,the lights, the horn and the dinging with the door open, all still worked. Unsuccessfully trying to start it I left it alone to get towed. 5 days later I received my car back saying it started just fine they can't detect what's wrong with it, because they couldn't read the code it gave out, and to keep notes of weird things to bring it back in. …”
NHTSA complaint #10995482, filed 2017-06, 136,420 miles“A notification sound came on upon starting the car and the steering wheel became extremely hard to turn after that. It was assessed to be the torque sensor that caused the problem. The vehicle is hard to turn if it's going slow and can be shut off and turned on again to help but it eventually turns back on at any speed after.”
