1988: “The driver side rear firestone tire on my 1988 Chevrolet Scottsdale pick-up had the tread separate from the tire while traveling east on I-10 in tallahassee. I was going approx. 65 MPH. The tread slapped the rear side of my truck bending and damaging it, and then wrapped around the axle under the vehicle. I just barely managed to keep control of the vehicle. Luckily the tire slowly deflated after the incident.”
