The contact stated that while reversing, the vehicle made an abnormal sound and the front seat belts became extremely tight and failed to release. The contact stated that there was smoke coming from the seat belts. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 68,000.”
