Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“I'm describing a potential problem on vehicles I do not own, but have seen the behavior: various late-model GM pick-up trucks and suvs (Tahoe as an example) will turn on the white back-up tail-light when the owner unlocks the vehicle via remote. I believe this is very dangerous as someone driving by thinking the vehicle is backing-up, and could make a sudden stop to allow the vehicle to back out.”
