“I had to replace the driver side window motor at about 30,000 miles and now the passenger side motor is acting up and will probably have to be replaced - I am currently at 38000 miles. Seeing so many other complaints, including vehicle door fires, this should be recalled.”
NHTSA complaint #10557931, filed 2013-12, 38,000 miles“I purchased a 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer in 2011 with 26,839 miles. At the beginning of march 2013 with 33,371 miles, the power window on the passenger side broke and is now stuck halfway down. The door still has power as I can hear the motor trying to work but the window will not move and there is a grinding sound in the door. I could have opened the window more than 20 times since purchase. Also in aug 2011 at 27,522 miles the stabilitrack sensor malfunctioned and needed to be replaced and in jan 2012 at 28,547 miles the exhaust manifold cracked and needed to be replaced.”
NHTSA complaint #10503314, filed 2013-03, 33,371 miles“Water got on the window switches because the drivers window was left open a little during a rain storm, and none of the windows or door lock switches on the drivers door worked for 2 days. I know that there's a re-call for 2006 & 2007 model years for the same reason, so why not on the 2008?”
NHTSA complaint #10534124, filed 2013-08, 93,000 miles“The contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer. While the vehicle was parked, the front passenger side window erroneously rolled down and an electrical burning odor was present inside the vehicle. While inspecting the vehicle, the contact discovered that the window switch was charred and melted. The cause of the failure was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 139,000.”
NHTSA complaint #10789880, filed 2015-11, 139,000 miles“The contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that the front driver's side electric panel for the windows was not fully functioning. The failure recurred intermittently. The rear windows would electronically open but when attempting to close the windows from the front drivers side main electric panel, it would require the contact to manually close the windows. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 102000.”
