“First my rear wiper and rear washer stopped working but when you turn the button it sounds like it wants to go. Second my speedometer is all over the board. Sometimes it runs low, sometimes it's higher and at times it just won't move. It has also been off the board pointer down at the prnd321. Third my oil gauge stopped working.”
NHTSA complaint #10806372, filed 2015-11, 80,000 miles“The driver's door master power window switch module got hot & started smoking. Removing and looking at it showed that it caught on fire. It looks like it started somewhere on the circuit board. It seems identical to the problem listed on the 2006 chevy trailblazers. (NHTSA campaign number: 15v599000) it happened in 2015. I've just been holding onto the part because I didn't know what to do with it & the local dealer wasn't any help.”
NHTSA complaint #10985946, filed 2017-05, 63,000 miles“The window and lock controls on the driver door handle just stopped working leaving my window open. It is not a fuse. I began looking for other issues online and have come across this issue on earlier model trailblazers. I am in a cold climate as the other recall is applicable to.”
NHTSA complaint #10537513, filed 2013-08, 107,000 miles“While driving the, window switch began to smoke so I physically removed the switch and have since not had power window access on the passenger side front door. The cost to replace was too great and at the bottom of the priority list. More recently, maybe 2 months ago, the driver side switch showed signs of the same results after a smell of burning electronics and heat to the touch so I simply unplugged the switch all together. …”
NHTSA complaint #10471400, filed 2012-08, 75,000 miles“The front blower stopped working while my wife was coming home from a trip with my kids .the temperature outside was 28 degrees the windows fogged up and she hit a deer that she would have seen if the windows weren't fogged.I have replced the blower resistor switch which had a burnt connector it lasted 3 weeks and has gone out again. This is a very bad problem because even when you have this problem repaired it still malfunctions without warning. This is putting myfamily at great risk. …”
