“Sudden loss of engine when making hard turns the car completely dies out and locks my steering and puts the car into a full break lock this leads to me having to try to start my car multiple times this is very dangerous considering this could be fatal when it does out I've had problems with this car and have brought it in multiple times with no fix”
NHTSA complaint #11390866, filed 2021-01, 20,000 miles“My car was working perfectly fine until I left work today. My check engine light came on as soon as I started my car and it kept saying 'check parking brake' and 'check airbags' I couldn't put my car in drive or reverse, it wouldn't go anywhere. Possibly because the parking brake wouldn't let me drive. Very strange, as it was sudden and unexpected.... Have never had a problem with parking brake or airbags.”
NHTSA complaint #11234943, filed 2019-07, 57,000 miles“When service shifter light comes on the emergency brake automatically engages, it happened to me while driving in a parking lot. I see the safety issue of it now when I seen the same thing happen to a 2017 jeep while they were driving on the interstate”
NHTSA complaint #11124621, filed 2018-09, 38,000 miles“As I was driving about 40mph and slowing down for a stop sign, the engine died out. Locking my brakes and my steering wheel. At this very moment the gear d was blinking on the dash and telling me to put the vehicle in park. The vehicle was disables and the ignition would not start the car until after several minutes and multiple attempts. This has occurred a total of 5 times in the last 2 weeks. This is very dangerous if it occurred while I'm on the freeway or in the middle of an intersection.”
NHTSA complaint #11384310, filed 2020-12, 108,000 miles“My car was driving just fine until I went to reverse out of the parking spot I was parked in. I pushed the brake down to release the emergency brake and all of a sudden my brake got harder to push down. It displays on my screen the 'brake' is on but it's not. It almost feels like my brakes went out but it's so hard to push them down. Luckily it happened while I was in a parking lot rather then on a main road or even the highway. I took it to the dealership and was told it was my brake booster. …”
