“The vehicle literally cuts off while I am driving I have taken it the shop and when they put it on the machine it doesn't register any error codes or malfunction codes. However, it still shuts off. “Parked vehicle. While vehicle engine still running and placed in park, I removed my driver side seat belt. Within 10 seconds of doing so, the panel flashed that the awd was disabled, the traction control light came on, and the warning indicator stated to have parking brake serviced I had not engaged the electronic parking brake manually, but attempted to reverse the vehicle, only to find the parking brake had engaged on it's own. …”

NHTSA complaint #11092819, filed 2018-05, 8,452 miles

“Reviewing retrieved edr, the ESC reports as on, then engages for 0.4 of a second, then turns off. A crash into a tree happens 2.9 seconds later. Was this FCA stability control working effectively or was there a malfunction? The car spun a 360 circle and control was lost at 2.9 seconds to zero seconds on a city street.”
