“The vehicle literally cuts off while I am driving I have taken it the shop and when they put it on the machine it doesn't register any error codes or malfunction codes. However, it still shuts off. I have children and don't want to be in an accident when I know my car will shut off at a moments notice!”

NHTSA complaint #11299142, filed 2020-01, 61,200 miles

“Has happened on highway and city streets when I accelerate sometimes the rpms get stuck at 4000. And there is also lag from my acceleration when I take off and will get stuck at high rpms when I slow down while coasting and braking only way I've gotten it to stop is by tapping on my gas again.”

NHTSA complaint #11384716, filed 2020-12, 65,873 miles

“I purchased my vehicle brand new in 2017 and started experiencing issues within the first year. The car has cut off multiple times while driving, without warning, in the middle of rush hour traffic. It also frequently stalls. I've taken my vehicle to 3 different dealerships in 2 different states at least 10 times. Two of the three dealerships claimed that the problem was some sort of fuse underneath the driver's seat. After the car continued to shut off without warning, I was told that it was due to low oil. …”

NHTSA complaint #11257636, filed 2019-09, 20,000 miles

“The engine stalls when coming to a stop such as a stop light or stop sign. The engine also stalls and shuts off when accelerating after stopping. It stopped in the middle of an intersection while turning out of my apartment complex into a busy main road. I was able to coast off of the road and tried to restart. Upon trying to restart it hesitated to turn over and start. It took about 2 minutes before it finally started and it didn't want to accelerate. There was no warning that it was getting ready to stall. …”

NHTSA complaint #11101939, filed 2018-06, 39,000 miles

“My Chrysler 200 started shutting itself off while driving. The lights and radio stay on but the brakes and steering are manual. The dealership informed me that I was low on oil and that the car is equipped with a safety feature to shut the car off when oil is low. This car is 10 mths old and only 11k miles. It continued after that visit and after shaming Chrysler on twitter, they opted to replace the motor. The problem is this car shuts off while driving. The engines are the same and this problem will kill someone. …”
