“As I was driving down the busy highway my car shut down completely. Steering wheel locked, car turned off and brakes locked. This is very dangerous. I could of gotten in a horrible car accident. When mechanic checked it out he said there was nothing wrong with it and that there was a recall on this vehicle. I have been check and it says no recalls.”

NHTSA complaint #11390338, filed 2021-01, 128,982 miles

“My Chrysler 200 has been experiencing intermittent power loss and stalling. When driving the engine plus electrical power shuts down which leads to a loss of power steering. This situation almost caused a accident while on the freeway. In my research I have found many others who have the same complaint. The electrical system on this make/model has a 'very bad' rating on NHTSA website.”

NHTSA complaint #11299199, filed 2020-01, 108,000 miles

“My vehicle just leaked all the oil completely. I know a significant oil leak checked the oil and their was absolutely nothing. I sent it in for repairs and it happened to be a broken oil cooler. My big concerns is if the oil wasn't cooling right/transferring I wonder what effect sit had on my engine. For a three year old vehicle that's a huge and sad defect.”

NHTSA complaint #10946491, filed 2017-01, 44,235 miles

“Engine light on. Cylinder head replacement. I took it to blacks tire service, they said there is a misfire in the engine (engine running on 5 cylinders vs 6 cylinders). When the car is stopped and I let go of the brake, it stalls a bit (shakes), it almost feels like it wants to shut off. It also stalls when I take off.”

NHTSA complaint #10884078, filed 2016-07, 78,200 miles

“The engine light came on and the car was overheating the car was rolling backwards when at stop light . Problem was heat sensor. Transmission went twice on 3/10/2015 and 3/19/2014 both times I was driving with my granddaughter in the car and due to the deceleration caused by the transmission I was almost rear ended by truck behind me.”
