“Takata recall. The airbag light keeps coming on and off on the dash, sometimes when I go to break. I have had it tested to make sure what it is. I was told by stark's it is a sensor in my headrest that is part of the airbag system, if it is on and I have a wreck they will not deploy. Started in may and is still going on.”

NHTSA complaint #11109870, filed 2018-07, 65,000 miles

“2014 Chrysler 200 126k miles sept. 8, 2020 slowing down for a red light. Approximately 25 MPH. Heard a loud noise like a tire blowing out. Yet didn't feel anything. Immediately pulled over to inspect my vehicle outside and found nothing amiss. Entered vehicle on drivers side and looked over and saw passenger side headrest had deployed. This is not the first time. Rewind to november 2019 same car at 120k miles. Sitting in driveway. Vehicle parked and engine off. Key not even in the ignition. Sitting in the driver's seat. Heard a loud noise and my head was thrown forward in a very fast motion. …”

NHTSA complaint #11353851, filed 2020-09, 126,000 miles

“I drove an enterprise rental car, Chrysler 200 sedan. I drove it for about 2-4 hours on an interstate highway, good road. When I got out I had a shooting pain from the middle of my left buttocks down the outside of my left leg. I've never had this sort of thing happen before. I tried to figure out if it was something else, but the only variable was sitting in that car seat. I am a mid-fifties woman in good condition. 5'7 tall, 150 pounds. Pretty average. A car seat shouldn't do this to a person. …”

NHTSA complaint #10644598, filed 2014-10, 1,500 miles

“I was alone in the car, driving on the freeway, when I heard a startling bang that came from the front passenger side. I saw that the headrest on the front passenger seat had deployed while I was driving. When I got home, I noticed several small pieces of black plastic on the front passenger seat cushion. Upon examining the headrest, it was obvious that the plastic which was supposed to hold a 2 -3 silver metal retaining rod had failed. That silver metal rod is still engaged in the electronic lock/release mechanism attached to the back of the head rest. …”

NHTSA complaint #11012383, filed 2017-08, 38,110 miles

“Active head restraints (ahrs) on driver's seat deployed spontaneously. Some broken plastic parts fell out. Luckily I was not in the car and noticed only when neck got uncomfortable while sitting.”
