“I pumped a tank of gas about 5 days ago. I got into the car it was was fill with gas fumes. The smell is strong while driving and sitting in park. I thought maybe some gas spilled when I removed the pump so I went on home but for the next few days I continued to smell gas so I rinsed the car off to see if that would help it did not . I took my car to the Chrysler dealership in my city for the to checkout the smell of gas. …”

“Just bought this 2012 Chrysler 300 and not even having it 2 weeks I filled up my tank and smelled a very strong fuel smell. My husband lifted up the back seat and found a quite large puddle just sitting on top of the fuel pump. We thought it was the oring but we replaced that yesterday and filled it up again and noticed another good size puddle on top of the fuel pump again.”

NHTSA complaint #11204251, filed 2019-04

“When driving at night it appears that the headlights have large blind areas left and right (similiar to horse blinders). When making a left or right turn there are blind areas that there could be a person or car parked that you would not see. I have had several close calls. On contactging the dealer they said that is the way the headlights are designed and several people had complained. If I had test driven the car a night I don't think I would have bought it becaue of the safety issues.”

NHTSA complaint #10547749, filed 2013-10

“Gas fumes filled the cabin. I am suffering from headaches from smelling in fumes. This is dangerous and health issues. The gas tank is under passage back seat and costs $2,235 to replace primary and transfer pumps. Is this covered by a recall?”

NHTSA complaint #11753770, filed 2026-07

“There is a hairline crack on top of the Fuel Pump Plastic Housing cause leak on top of the housing. Fuel Vapor in AC present as well as inside and outside the car. This could be a potential fire hazard and I have read many forums in which many other owners of the same make and model of the car has.”
