Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Purchase this vehicle 11 months ago and 6 months into the car the front suspension started to shake real bad, then a few moths past that, the torque converter went out and was replaced. Know the electrical system went out.”

NHTSA complaint #11021120, filed 2017-09, 40,002 miles

“On more than 20 occasions, while traveling at speeds in excess of 60 MPH, the vehicle abruptly 'shuts off'. Everything is completely off. Engine, powertrain, power steering and power brakes. Sometimes there's a warning light that flashes after the shut down that looks like a reddish orange sideways z lighting bolt. The check engine goes on sometimes and other times it does not. When it goes on it sometimes stays on and sometimes it disappears. I've had 2 Chrysler dealers and 1 independent mechanic run diagnostics and no one can pinpoint the problem. …”
