“Our 1999 Chrysler LHS suffered what our mechanic said was a catastrophic transimission failure. The service engine light came on and the transmission stopped shifting properly and remained in low gear. The transmission had to be completely re-built and the system flushed due to the large volume of metal shavings. Because this happen outside the 3/36,000 warranty period, Chrysler would not cover the cost of the repairs.”
