Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Fuel rail is leaking bad and is very dangerous. There has been recalls on the same thing in other years but none on mine. Somthing this dangerous should be at least discounted on repair.”

NHTSA complaint #10069859, filed 2004-01, 89,000 miles

“While traveling through an intersection, there was an approx. 1' snow furrow left by a snowplow. When the car crossed this, the rear end of the car dropped right to the ground. Upon getting the car home and up on jack stands, it was realized that both rear spring perches had rotted out and hinged at the weld along the rear axle. This car has been meticulously maintained throughout its life and it looks like brand new. Also this problem should not be happening on a nine year old car.
