1995: “I recently bought this vehicle (october 2016) from the original owner who had it up until now. We smelled gas coming in the vents when idling and warming up. We saw vapors coming out from the hood and the strong gas smell was clearly injector leaking somewhere on the engine and coming into the cab. We took it to a local auto dealer and they agreed immediately what the problem is and explain it was faulty fuel line by Chrysler.”
NHTSA complaint #10957435, filed 2017-02, 123,800 miles1991: “I am reporting a problem which may relate to acceleration due to computer failure. My 1991 Chrysler New Yorker revved up considerably as I sat in neutral after traveling at 45 to 50 MPH for 7 hours. I was driving from richmond, va to albany, ga and setting the pace for a rental truck on a very windy day. It only happened on the one day. I no longer own the car.”
NHTSA complaint #10319931, filed 2010-03, 77,000 miles1996: “Had to have break lines replaced-they removed cross member to access line and removed and manufacture tube and replace. $442.91 for 5 hours of labor and parts---my car was the 7th car in one week to need this expensive repair from a Chrysler car. Garage tells me this is due to calcium on roads or cheap steal from Chrysler. I feel due to poor quality of the Chrysler product-- help me out.”
