Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Windshield wipers caught onto each other , I was able to make temp repair because of holding a safety inspection license and previously working as a auto tech for many years, however if this occurred to my wife while driving on the turnpike...like we were, she would not have been able to continue her journey or may have been involved in an accident. This problem occurred a second time on the same day. I made contact with dealer a couple days later to see if any other similiar complaints and was told by the service manager that none existed. …”

NHTSA complaint #755696, filed 2001-12

“Consumer states that while driving and no warning the windshield wiper will work intermittently and it will be hard for the consumer to see during rainy weather. Dealer notified. Ts”
