“Passenger side air bag exploded. Luckily no injury. Vehicle was not moving. I didn't even know it could do that! I'd like this fixed. Also, two leaks in engine. Oil leak/transmission leak. Is this normal? Leaks are ongoing. Another thing: noticing headlights getting slightly dimmer, then brighter, at night as if some sort of electrical problem? This happens during driving and not driving.”
NHTSA complaint #11416715, filed 2021-05, 110,000 miles“When I fill the gas tank up, the van stalls after a couple of minutes of driving. At first, I thought that I had gotten some gas with water in it at the gas station. But then it happened again. Then I thought that maybe it had something to do with topping the tank off. So, I don't top it off anymore, but I am still having the same stalling problem.”
NHTSA complaint #10615810, filed 2014-07, 160,000 miles“The van silently stalls. So far it has only happened at low speeds. When this happens it becomes very hard to steer and brake. The first incident was during a u-turn with my 2yr old child and wife in the car. We ended up having to make use of the wheel chair ramp on the side walk. Mechanics have been unable to diagnose and unable to fix and this is still a problem.”
NHTSA complaint #10512719, filed 2013-05, 60,000 miles“While driving, the engine just suddenly died, stopped working leaving a 1.7 ton vehicle with no steering or brakes, it was a miracle I rolled to a stop and did not caused an accident it happened a few more times, this vehicle is a ticking time bomb, we need to file a class action lawsuit against Dodge-chrysler, records show this happened to a lot of people quite a few times.”
NHTSA complaint #10461828, filed 2012-06, 98,000 miles“3 yrs ago, fire in engine compartment while I was driving. Could not open doors windows or engine hood. I did have window down when this occurred. Just last week a woman in a car (type not known-) in spokane was trapped and had to be rescued when her car caught fire and she couldn't open door or window. She was lucky a cop busted a window and dragged her out. This is a spooky thing if all cars are like that in a fire.car had died in street.mine ignited at stop light. You have a very hidden problems in these plastic cars. …”
