“This is the second time that my Challenger has stalled when making a right-hand turn; the first time was about a eight months ago. Yesterday, I slowed to turn into my office parking lot. When I was making this right-hand turn, the engine stalled and I could not steer the car - almost hitting the curb. After putting the car in park, I was able to restart the car.”

NHTSA complaint #10467820, filed 2012-07, 8,700 miles

“My 2010 Dodge Challenger srt8 completely shuts down while driving for no apparent reason. The engine turns off and I lose power steering. It does this repeatedly while driving at all speeds. All electrical components work when this happens but the power steering makes it very hard to turn the vehicle which makes it very dangerous in traffic or on the highway. I have to put the vehicle in park press my ignition start button to turn the car completely to the off position and restart the vehicle. …”

NHTSA complaint #11074213, filed 2018-02, 10 miles

“Engine quit while driving on the freeway with no warning! I was extremely lucky that it didn't quit on one of the back roads I drive every day to work, because there are no shoulders to pull over on, and I will most likely be rear ended when it happens again, and I know it will.. I can tell the failure is going to happen again from my past experience, and I have notified chrysler several times about it, but they refuse to fix the issue.”

NHTSA complaint #10553335, filed 2013-11, 27,000 miles

“I was on the highway when all of a sudden I lost power to the engine and steering. I was not able to get to side of the road. I was stuck in the middle of the highway. I had the car towed to the shop where I was told that the timing chain had broken. Wow”

NHTSA complaint #10556948, filed 2013-12, 44,000 miles

“I've had the same issue as many have described when your Challenger loses all power steering and braking ability while making a right turn at low speeds. Luckily I was pulling into a car wash when this happened and not at my sons elementary school where the deadly potential of killing school kids was there...by the way I was on the way to pick up my kid when I made a last minute choice to get a quick wash. So as stated by everyone else here, put the car in park an was able to start right back up afterwards. …”
