“Noticed fluid leaking in front of rear passenger tire.upon further inspection I found it to be gasoline. Then I looked under the rear seat and found a puddle of gasoline accumulated in the fuel pump area on the right side. The car had been parked so the puddle on the ground and under the seat were very noticeable. This is not safe at all!!!”

NHTSA complaint #11191142, filed 2019-03, 83,000 miles

“The auxiliary fuel pump module developed a crack and started leaking a large amount of fuel. The top of the fuel tank had a large puddle of fuel and it was running down all side of the fuel tank and on to the ground. This is a major fire hazard. Also there are access panels under the back seat area of the car to replace the pump modules. Fumes from the fuel entered the car from those access points and made it almost impossible to be inside the car. I first noticed the smell after filling the the fuel tank and when I got home I noticed the fuel running out on to my driveway.”

NHTSA complaint #11375907, filed 2020-11, 84,000 miles

“In early october 2014 I started smelling gas fumes inside my vehicle. I took the vehicle to a local repair shop. It was determined that my fuel tank had a factory defect where the fuel pump locking tabs were molded into the tank. The leak was around the seam where attached. This is directly under the rear passenger seat on top of the fuel tank where it would have been impossible to have been hit by anything. The tank was leaking fuel on to the exhaust system at the rear of the vehicle. We were very lucky that there was no fire. …”

NHTSA complaint #10671045, filed 2015-01, 59,000 miles

“For some reason when the vehicle is filled with gas something underneath the back seat is leaking to where it causes a puddle of gas under the back seat and also drips a puddle outside the vehicle near the rear passenger tire. In all my years of owning vehicles never had gas leaks. I called dealer and they said they've never heard about but I looked it up online and there are hundreds of people with the same issue. Most are speaking of it leaking near the exhaust. I'm not the one to complain but I'm just speaking on something I know is not right! …”

NHTSA complaint #10885767, filed 2016-07, 50,000 miles

“Was driving down the freeway and at approximately 75 MPH, vehicle's engine failed and all systems went dead. Luckily I had enough momentum to get off the freeway and into a safe area. After being tested by mechanic, he said the edm had a stored fault with the camshaft sensor however no current faults. Camshaft sensor was still replaced and car would still not turn on. Mechanic told me he read several stories of all wire harnesses being replaced and even edm being replaced however problem still continues to persist.”
