“I hadn’t on my car for very long when I stepped on the brakes and my passenger seat flew clear up to the dash. When I stopped and looked at it, they were little metal teeth all over the place underneath the seat. It won’t go all the way up and lock it will only go all the way back and semi lock. If there’s someone sitting in the passenger seat when I press on the brakes, it moves up a few inches and then back it will not lock completely”
NHTSA complaint #11642059, filed 2025-02“Passenger seat sliding mechanism not locking / latching properly. When coming to a stop the passenger seat will slide forward, sometimes an inch or two but sometimes further. This is a very well know issue I have discovered across multiple internet message boards and is due to inadequate slide bearings, and has been ongoing for years.”

Tri lakes motors dealer of branson, missouri was made aware of the failure and stated that the vehicle was out of warranty. The dealer recommended that the front passenger seat track be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.”
