“Lost brakes, I was involved in a accident. I called Dodge several times to fix recall, car still hasn't been fixed. I am unable to get a nys inspection. I was pulled over by police and I received ticket for no inspection. Dodge refuses to fix recall as of april 2016. I need my car fixed. I am a college student and cant afford to fix it.”

NHTSA complaint #10853659, filed 2016-04, 32,000 miles

“When putting my 2013 Dodge DART into reverse to back up in my driveway I realized I had no brakes. The pedal made a loud wooshing noise and it sounded like a lot of air coming out. Then the pedal was very hard to push down and the car would not stop. The car did the same thing in drive, and the problem continued in the same manner repeatedly.”

NHTSA complaint #10758707, filed 2015-08, 45,500 miles

“My family and I where coming up to a stop light. After leaving a mall when I applied the brakes the pedal got hard and the brakes lights came on. Tell me to service electronic brakes. I had to press down hard on the brake pedal and used emergency brakes to stop. This is the second time in over a year my brakes gave out .”

NHTSA complaint #10837970, filed 2016-02, 90,000 miles

“Was backing up the car and needed to slow down and suddenly had no brakes. I had to press extremely hard on them to get the car to slow down and it barely worked. Scared me to death because I was backing up into a busy street. The car is at the dealer now so I have not been informed on what the problem is but it sounds like I am having the same issue as others”

NHTSA complaint #10778244, filed 2015-09, 23,000 miles

“I was backing out of parking spot and depressed the brakes to shift into reverse. As soon as I hit the brake there was a pop and a hiss. The brake pedal then became extremely difficult to depress and couldn't safely stop the car unless going 10 MPH or slower. Sounds like a common occurrence as far as problems go...probably the master cylinder and brake booster.”
