2008: “The tipm goes out quite frequently in these. My van electrical system goes nuts on me, my headlights flash while I'm driving down the road, and it will just off while driving. When it shuts off I have no way to warn other vehicles because none of the lights work. I'm afraid I'm going to get into an accident because of this and it's a very costly fix.”
NHTSA complaint #11394303, filed 2021-02, 55,000 miles2018: “The left side passenger sliding door locking mechanism fails and sticks in the lock position. After doing some research on the internet it has been clear that this is a pretty common occurrence with Dodge grand caravans. If I would need to get my baby out quickly from this side of the van, the lock malfunctions and this is a high safety problem.”
NHTSA complaint #11413107, filed 2021-04, 60,000 miles2011: “I was driving on the road at about 30 MPH going straight (with my wife/kids) and the car just turned off completely. There was no electrical, no propulsion, power steering went out. The electrical blinked on and off a couple times like it was trying to come back on but I had to pull over (luckily we were on a rural road) and turn the car off and back on.”
