“Repairs were done to the engine on 3 occasions, rotors 2 occasions, brakes 1 occasion, control arms (suspension) 1 occasion, steering 1 occasion, & electrical. Although I only have 54,000 miles on my car and the engine has been replaced, the dealership refuses to fix the ongoing engine problems. The dealership manager, rod harris, admits it a lifter ticking but insists that it is normal. Chrysler gave me an added care service contract that is good through 6/26/04 and to 75,000 miles. Plan code is ad675h. They refuse to fix my car. …”
NHTSA complaint #10052955, filed 2004-01“Dealer aligned vehicle moving rack and pinion steering over last year. Since then the car pulls left. Took it back twice to the same location, had it aligned at two tire shops numerous times and am always told it is aligned to manufacturers specifications. I have a continous pull to the left which gets wrose at higway speeds. Dealer told me tires and had four different sets puts on from different manufactuers and still the same problem and am always told it is fine. …”
NHTSA complaint #738029, filed 2000-12“While driving approximately 2-3 MPH in a parking lot and going over a speed bump, heard a loud snapping noise coming from rear of vehicle. Dealership examined vehicle and determined that right/rear trailing arm broke in half in the middle. Dealership replaced 1/8 stamped piece of steel on rear/right side that broke with a 1 1/4 diameter steel bar to remedy the problem. Note: part is available for inspection.”
NHTSA complaint #8003591, filed 2002-02“Window power motor had to be replaced, front end cradle taken apart/put back together for front end pull, engine oil light comes on, passanger door hinge 'pops' occasionally, rough idle, engine 'no starts', interior lights flash on and off perodically, chrysler arbitration process a joke.”
NHTSA complaint #703991, filed 1999-03“While driving at low speed (pulling into parking lot) front axle broke in half and wheel fell off. If this would have occurred at high speed, could have been serious danger on the road.”
