Body and structure: “I have seen aprox 1000 or more complaint about dashes on Dodge trucks and cars that are cracking!! Mine stared slow then one day I got in and noticed the whole thing had cracked in several spots, now I have now dash cover at all, I feel strongly that this is a safety concern, that's why I keep adding names to my list, have over 600 names and VIN# for Dodge trucks with dashes in very bad shape from 94 up to 07 that are cracking.”
NHTSA complaint #10286958, filed 2009-10, 18,000 milesElectrical system: “Cut my self removing pieces the gov should make Dodge replace these dashes at no cost to us. I have a bad heater core and no one will change it because of the dash needs to be removed and its so broken they can't remove it without replacing it. At a cost of a $1000.00 plus the cost of the heater core r&r . I had to get a cover for my dash so I could reattached the VIN code. Please do something about this. I figure I will hit a bump one day and the whole thing will fall!!!”
