“Seat belt would not unbuckle when we stopped the truck wiggled out before it tightened up and now it is permanently buckled this is a safety issue if someone is in an accident and can't unbuckle it something needs to be done before someone gets hurt or dies I have see many other complaints on this.”

NHTSA complaint #11044548, filed 2017-11, 169,000 miles

“I contacted chrysler 3 times and no one wanted to address this problem, this was not caused by an accident ,theres no frame or external damages caused to the vehicle , this shouldn't of happened , I was driving normal and the airbags shot out of nowhere bruising my arm and around my collar. I driving the car the way it is with no horn , seatbelts locked, and bags exposed. …”

NHTSA complaint #10660121, filed 2014-11, 136,887 miles

“Driver's seatbelt was properly buckled and would not release when arrived at home. After attempting to free the buckle and sitting in the truck for nearly an hour, my family member finally arrived home and had to cut the belt to release me. Thank god this incident did not involve a collision or fire. Reported the issue to chrysler customer assistance on the same evening via email. Still working to resolve the matter, nearly a month later. Seatbelt remains stuck in buckle and unable to be released. I refuse to pay $516 to have this repaired. …”

NHTSA complaint #10809350, filed 2015-12, 120,119 miles

“The front driver's side seat belt retractor jams and does not keep the upper section of the seat belt tight against the driver's chest. When moving around during normal driving this causes multiple inches of slack to develop and the driver needs to manually pull out on the seat belt and feed it back to remove the slack. The upper mounting loop and the seatbelt itself are clean and not damaged.”

NHTSA complaint #10759200, filed 2015-08, 70,000 miles

“My wife , son and daughter were in the vehicle when they were struck in the front at about 40 MPH. The seat belt did not hold, it released and the air bag did not deploy.”
