“The dashboard in my 1995 Dodge RAM 2500 has all but fallen completely out of the truck... It started as a small crack, and now has sharp edges, and any time I have a passenger I feel as though im putting their life in danger in the case of an accident occurring... The dash has a hole in it almost a foot long in it, and all the edges are extremely sharp... You can tell the plastic is defectively fragile... There are numerous Dodge owners from ram 1500's up to 3500's all complaining about the same thing. This is a problem that defiantly needs to be looked into. Thanks.”

NHTSA complaint #10340308, filed 2010-06, 100,000 miles

“1995 Dodge/cummins RAM 2500. Paint delamination across hood & top of cab due to improper adhesion between primer coat & color coat. This in spite of regular washing & waxing of the paint. The truck has low miles & has been maintained well.”

NHTSA complaint #10255121, filed 2009-01, 115,000 miles

“Cup holder won't hold cups sufficiently. Turning corners causes cups with full contents to flip out of the holder without very little gravitational force. If an operator tries to catch the cup a moment occurs where the operator is not in complete command of the vehicle. This could and may have already LED to accidents.”

NHTSA complaint #10100030, filed 2004-11, 84,344 miles

“Paint on pick up bed of 2500 Dodge peeled off less than two years after buying truck. Talked to paint specialist and was assured it would be repainted. Transferred to hawaii and was told by dealer that they would only spot it and charge me 200 dollars. The paint is peeling off in two inch wide strips.”

NHTSA complaint #10043752, filed 2003-10, 17,000 miles

“(1) transmission pan or filler base leaks fluid; dealer repaired 4 times - still leaks. (2) sun visor swivel becomes loose. Visor swings freely during turns. Dealer replaced once, new one developed same problem. (3) transmission occasionally switches out of overdrive (including illumination of o/d off lamp), usually at freeway speeds.”
