“Similar to online reports of past Dodge ram truck death wobble, truck wobbles and shakes dangerously despite numerous fixes and adjustments to tires/alignment and other. Tire rod snapped off, luckily while not on the freeway. We had to have it towed out of our driveway and had to stop mid-trip on our way to wyoming to purchase new tires. Ram 3500 2010.”
NHTSA complaint #11013008, filed 2017-08, 117,000 miles“I took my truck in for the first tie rod recall when it first came out...when I got my truck back I kept hearing a weird noise for a few weeks...ended up finding out that my rim was so loose it almost fell off....I ended up needing ball joints and new tires soon after...about 6000 miles later started feeling front end sloppiness. ..took it to mechanic and needed tie rod....wanted recall done on block heater but parts were not available. …”
NHTSA complaint #10748987, filed 2015-08, 123,000 miles“There is an outstanding recall notice on my vehicle, n49. Dodge told me there is a delay from the manufacturer, and can give no estimate on time to repair. This safety issue has caused crashes due to loss of steering on left front wheel.”
NHTSA complaint #10609666, filed 2014-07, 13,500 miles“I have a 2010 Dodge 3500 heavy duty that starts wobbling form right to left as I am traveling along the highway at any speed above 50 MPH whenever the truck encounters an uneven surface all of a sudden. A pot hole or a bump in the road will also cause it to start wobbling from the front like crazy. The dealer states that there is nothing wrong with the truck, but there is definitely something wrong with it.”
NHTSA complaint #10354488, filed 2010-09, 3,000 miles“While driving home from work one evening my truck started making the most awful grinding sound coming from the front passenger tire. Then my ABS light and serv 4wd light came on the dash. A few seconds later the tucked bobbled and weaved and I could no longer steer it. When I got out to look at the problem the wheel itself was resting on the hub assembly. Previous to this I've had to replace front end parts like crazy. New ball joints and I joints annually. Brakes twice a year, and it will eat up tires on the front. Also the truck will not stay aligned. …”
