2011: “The rear brake will fade until it is complete unusable. Then it gets rebled and works for a day or two and then is unusable again. Ducati sent out a service bulletin and my dealership installed new parts per the service bulletin, but the rear brakes have failed again! They are dangerous! I have quit using the rear brake because I know I can't count on it, and that is worrisome too.”
NHTSA complaint #10681582, filed 2015-02, 5,000 miles2012: “The rear brake is inoperative. Servicing the system will yield moderate performance for a short time, but eventually, sometimes after very short periods of time (days) the system will again, become inoperative.”
NHTSA complaint #11404854, filed 2021-03, 27,000 miles2019: “The motorcycle's rear brake is almost non-existent. Very mushy when the pedal is pressed and you must press very hard to get the calipers to bite the rotor. This is very noticeable during low speed riding.”
