1996: “Hello. I had a scary incident on friday, january 17 2014, and have been thinking about it and if it could have been prevented. I was driving on a state highway in pg county md when I heard a loud bang and my car suddenly swerved sharply to the left and crossed the center line into the path of an oncoming dump truck. Obviously I was able to react quickly enough and force my car back into the correct lane and then off to the side of the road. It took every bit of strength I had. …”

1997: “Saturday march 17th after driving to work, I was turning into a parking space. Suddenly, as I was turning the wheel, the car began going straight instead of turning! Luckely, no one was directly in front of me and I managed to put on the brakes before I hit something. I found that the steering wheel no longer worked! …”

NHTSA complaint #10185540, filed 2007-03, 136,885 miles

1993: “The body and frame problem is that when it snows, snow is found inside my vehicle on the front passenger side. This vehicle has not been in any accidents. What can I do besides going to a body and frame shop? The second problem is that the clear coat on the vehicle is coming off. I have gone to 3 paint shops. All three have told me it is caused by a defect in the clear coat and have told me I should contact the manufacture. Who do I contact since Eagle was bought out in regards to this problem.”
