“Dt: consumer had a problem with cracked seal rails. This was th fourth replacement. It was leaking fuel all over the engine, and was getting 5 miles to the gallon. Also, went through 2 fuel pumps, and 3 water pumps. Front end ball joints had to be replaced at 30,000 miles.”
NHTSA complaint #10123945, filed 2005-06, 30,000 miles“At 22,000 miles my vehicle lost 50% of its left turn radius while driving creating a potentially fatal situation for me and my passengers. The vehicle was repaired under warranty. At 49,000 it happened again. This time the dealer told me it was beyond the 3/36 warranty and I had to pay the entire $1400 for a new rack and pump. I am in the insurance industry and have regular contact with people and their automobiles. Other owners of the Eagle Vision tsi and esi from 94 thru 97 tell of similar problems with their steering. …”
NHTSA complaint #748149, filed 2001-07“Tires & rims were too large for vehicle hubs. Vehicle would drift & vibrate. Took vehicle back & mechanic did nothing about tires or rims. Was informed it was stablizer pin & it was replaced. Had the front end aligned. But, problem still present after two tires were bought. Taking vehicle back to dealership. Goodyear p225/60r16.”
