Example complaints
Visibility (wipers, defrost, mirrors): “Some of the double pane windows in the motor home are beginning to fog up between the panes of glass. The one that is of major concern is the driver side window that I look out of to see my side mirror is starting to fog . I have not made on replacement of said windows as I will have to for it out of my pocket. Unfortunately, Fleetwood filed bankruptcy and therefore are not liable for the failure. From what I am told the supplier of said windows are out of business as well. The failure was gradual over the time I had the motor home: purchased on feb 13, 2006 to this date dec. 19, 2010.”
NHTSA complaint #10371221, filed 2010-12, 43,000 milesBody and structure: “The contact owns a 2006 Fleetwood Bounder model 34f motor home. The contact stated that the storm window seals fractured and caused moisture to cloud the windows. The failure impacted the contact's visibility. The contact activated the defroster and cleaned the windows several times, but it failed to remedy the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and recommended that an authorized dealer replace the storm windows on both sides. The motor home was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 34,500.”
