Example complaints

Tires: “We had a blowout of tire - tire was correctly inflated. Cost of changing tire was $55.00 the tire had 6000 miles and firestone store charged me half price of a new tires - $68.00 would not do full replacement of tire which I think they should have. Firstone steeltex-radial r4s lt225/75r16m5”

NHTSA complaint #9004439, filed 2001-09

Body and structure: “With the coach empty except for full fuel, full lp and driver, the front axle weight is 4440 lbs. This leaves only 160 lbs of weight before exceeding the gawr on the front axle. Therefore, a medium weight person sitting on the passenger side could exceed this weight before any other supplies are loaded on the coach. This is a major safety problem that I am not willing to live with and should not have been sold with these minimal cargo carrying weights.”
